Bentota, Colombo, Nuwara Eliya, Udawalawe

Receive at the Colombo International Airport and proceed to Nuwara Eliya via Kithulgala, where the famous award winning film ‘The Bridge on the River Kwai’ was filmed. Kithulgala is also well known for white water rafting and bird watching / nature trails. Lunch at Kithulgala. Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Visit the Haggala Botanical garden and go for a Nuwara Eliya City tour including the visit to the clubs existing from the English period. Dinner and overnight at Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 2 : After breakfast, leave the hotel at around 8:00 am and proceed to Udawalawa via Ella. Entertain the scenic view from Ella gap and experience the climate crossing in Sri Lanka. Afternoon go for a safari at Udawalawa National Park. Experience the wild life of elephants, deer, fox, civet cats, wild bows, wild buffalos, crocodiles, eagles, residual birds of rare type etc. in Sri Lanka. Then make a visit to Elephant Transit Camp where the orphaned and injured elephants are treated and sent back to jungle / National Park. Dinner and overnight at a Eco friendly resort at Udawalawa.

After breakfast, leave towards Bentota via Galle which is declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its old fortification built somewhere in 17th century by the Dutch rulers. Also this city was completely sunk for the Tsunami on 26 Dec 2004. After a city tour in Galle, enjoy a boat drive to see the coral reefs in Hikkaduwa. moonstones mines at Meetiyagoda and then to a turtle hatchery at Kosgoda. Sri Lanka has five types of turtles out of eight in the world. Evening leisure and overnight at Bentota.
