Chef Kumudu attentively teach him everything from scratch, grating coconut with her special machine and even show him how to eat with hands Sri Lankan ways!!! We really appreciate everything there. The cooking class, the open kitchen by the river(it's like a lagoon), the final results of what we cook together from rice to shrimp curry, vegetable curry, dahl, coconut roti, sambol etc the ambience you name it. Gayan is a really nice driver. Always at time (rare thing in Sri Lanka ^^) , he helps me to discover this beautiful country with Safari river in Bentota (snakes, crocodile, mangrove, birds..), Safari in Udawalawa Park (elephants, eagles, wild bufalo..) and tours of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. Moreover, he always helped me to find the right place to eat or to buy some souvenirs (or beers :D). Thanks to him, I learned many things about the people, the culture, the wild life of Sri Lanka.

The tour was great, our guide was very knowledgeable, he spotted and told us lots of information about the wildlife we saw. We saw small crocodiles, water monitors, monkeys, bats and a variety of birds. We did not see any large crocodiles however I think that was because we only wanted to spend 1.5 hours on the river and our guide said they were on the other side but we wanted to leave, regardless we had a lovely time and saw several small crocodiles and held one too.
The river is beautiful and the boat ride was so relaxing, I would definitely recommend going.

  Bentota river fishing - We had a great time, managed to catch some fish. The guide spent extra hour with us giving us opportunity to catch more fish.

We ordered the boat trip to mangrove in the river Bentota Ganga.... read more Gayan wait and meet me and my wife, walk/drive us to boat and the captain. Everything was at time (frankly speaking, we even came late), but thx for waiting, the price was honest and as agreed before (about 20usd per one boat for us, 2 persons and 2 hour trip). The trip was amazing, we saw and sail throw the mangrove forest, we saw birds, varans, some small and medium crocodiles all of them in the wild nature. We've visited and took on hands one small crocodile for some tips. It was cool, but the crocodile looks like a bit "bombed", we gave some tips for so-called "farmer" and sailed away. So, my advise is - must see, must visit. Approach Gayan for the services. No fear.
